More than 1,600 customers of Hong Kong Airlines and two electrical appliance retailers received suspected scam calls following personal data leaks, the city’s privacy watchdog has found. In one airline-related scam, a retiree was cheated out of HK$1.2 million (US$153,850), the Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Centre (HKCERT) said on Tuesday, citing police information.
