Albuquerque, United States - February 14, 2018 /PressCable/ —

Tranco Transmission Repair is celebrating their 23rd Anniversary, which commemorates twenty-three years. The 23 years have been a wonderful growing period and at times quite challenging for the business. This is a huge milestone for the Albuquerque, New Mexico-based Transmission Repair Company, which has provided transmission repair to car and truck owners since 1995. Growing in the Albuquerque community has been exciting times for the organization.

Tranco Transmission Repair got it’s start in 1995 when founder Ray Peterek saw an opportunity in the market that had room for more businesses to join. At the time the transmission space was being controlled by really one main brand company.

One of the earliest challenges Tranco Transmission faced was letting the people in the community know that the business was here to help with transmission repair. Back in the early days the internet was still getting started and not being used the way it is today. So advertising was being done the old fashion way with ads on radio, tv, etc.

While every business faces challenges, some, like Tranco Transmission are fortunate enough to enjoy real successes, wins and victories too. One such victory came when the company started to really advertise and let the people of Albuquerque know that Tranco was here to help.

Ray Peterek, owner at Tranco Transmission Repair was also quoted when discussing another big win. “One of the high points of Tranco Transmission’s history so far was adding in the financing option for the customers that need this type of service. Not for everyone, but there for the ones that need it..”

Tranco Transmission’s founder, Ray Peterek says “The company is delighted to be celebrating twenty-three year’s in business. Tranco believes the secret to getting this far in business today is to make sure that the company has a web presence, that ranks in Google on the first page. This is in organic rankings as well as MAPS. This really makes the people come into the shop.”

Tranco Transmission currently consists of 10 employees and has big plans for the upcoming year. One of the core objectives is to streamline the business operations. Tranco has added a Kiosk for the customers to enter data. Making it convenient.

Tranco Transmission Repair would also like to thank friends, customers and all its partners for well wishes on this happy occasion.

Hero, harasser or both? Shaun White's newly complex legacy

Feb 20, 2018

PYEONGCHANG, South Korea — It was expected to be a coronation: snowboarder Shaun White, shredding the halfpipe in an epic performance that won him Olympic gold at Pyeongchang four years after a devastating loss in Sochi and just four months after a nasty fall during practice sent him to a hospital. But as he basked in the comeback story of the Winter Games, allegations of sexual misconduct resurfaced, first on social media, then at White's victory press conference. Eager to focus on his win, White waved away the accusations with a choice of words that made things worse, not better....

Lindsey Vonn tells her Twitter critics: 'I won't back down'

Feb 20, 2018

JEONGSEON, South Korea — Lindsey Vonn is not planning to change her mind or stop saying what she thinks, no matter what attacks folks might send her way via social media. "That's what bullies want you to do: They want to defeat you. And I'm not defeated. I'm the same. I stand by my values. And I'm not going to back down," the 33-year-old American said Monday after turning in the third-fastest downhill training run. "I may not be as vocal right now with my opinions, but that doesn't mean that they've won, you know? I haven't changed my mind."...

Virtue, Moir lead ice dancing after record short dance

Feb 20, 2018

GANGNEUNG, South Korea — Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir sat flanked by their training partners, Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron on one side, Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue on the other, both having just skated in the Olympics for the first time. Yet it was Moir, who along with Virtue forms perhaps the greatest ice dance duo ever, who acknowledged his nerves nearly got the best of him before their short program at the Pyeongchang Games. "People assume because we've been doing this so long that we can hold it together and that's not the case," Moir said. "It's not...

As athletes struggle, Kim Jong Un dreams of Olympic glory

Feb 20, 2018

PYEONGCHANG, South Korea — Kim Jong Un wants to turn his country into an international sports power — think East Germany in the 1970s and 80s. The North Korean leader is pouring resources into training and infrastructure, athletes are getting more recognition than ever and the country now even has an all-sports television channel, though it's not clear how many citizens are able to actually watch it. But while Kim's decision to send a team to Pyeongchang made a political splash, North Korea's athletes have battled for dead last in most of their competitions. It appears Kim's country has a...

Germany, Canada lead in 2-man bobsled, US struggles

Feb 20, 2018

PYEONGCHANG, South Korea — Christian Poser is the husband of an American bobsled star. Justin Kripps was born in Hawaii. And the way things are looking, they both could win Olympic two-man medals on Monday night. Thing is, Poser races for Germany and Kripps drives for Canada. And the sliders racing for the U.S. didn't exactly have the same level of success on the opening night of bobsledding at the Pyeongchang Olympics. The German sled driven by Nico Walther and pushed by Poser — whose wife is U.S. women's driver Jamie Greubel Poser — holds the lead after the first...
